I posted a version of this ages ago and have now finally got round to making a how to :)
First gather together everything you need. I used an old birthday card to cover my holder and some contrasting card to line it.
Draw around your chewing gum packet, turning it and moving it down as you go. That saves using separate pieces of card for each face. Hopefully one piece of card should be big enough to do all of the faces except for the sides. Make sure you mark clearly where the folds are as you will be scoring those later.
Cut out your shape and score along the places where the folds will be and fold the card.
Using your double sided sticky tape, tape along the different faces of the card. You can use as much as you like or glue. I used sticky tape as its neater and I have a tendency to get glue everywhere!
Stick your card to the front, back, top, bottom and flap of packet and trim away any rough edges so it looks neat. Use your contrasting cards and double sided tape to cover the skinny, side faces. Now, using your contrasting card, cut yourself an insert the same width as the inside of the packet. Stick this in place and again, trim any rough edges.
Put a thin strip of double sided tape horizontally across the centre of the back of your packet and a little along the sides. Now attach your ribbon. To do this close the flap of your packet and lay the middle section of the ribbon over the top. Leaving a little room (so you can undo your flap to get your cards out and close it again) fold the ribbon round so that it sticks to the sides and back and meets in the middle.
Now turn your packet over and tie a small bow. To keep it in place tie a knot over the top and press it against the double sided tape. Now fill with your business cards and show off to all your friends and family :)
