We purchased this beautiful dining room set off of Craigslist a year ago. It wasn't my dream set but it had a lot of potential. I was really excited when Cat contacted me about trying out Premier Prints fabrics because it finally ment I had the chance to recover these chairs with something more modern and contemporary.

Instructions

  1. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 164717 chairs%2b128

Begin by turning your chairs over and carefully removing the screws from the back of your cushions

  2. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 164920 chairs%2b130

Take this opportunity to whip down your chairs and remove any dust or spills on your chairs.

  3. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165017 chairs%2b134

Place your pad on your scrap fabric and make a pattern for your new covers. Make sure to leave about three inches of fabric allowance on all sides.

  4. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165124 chairs%2b136

Lay your pattern out onto your fabric and trace around it using tailors chalk. 2 yards of Premier Prints fabric should cover 6 dining room chairs.

  5. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165406 chairs%2b138

Press out any wrinkles from your fabric.

  6. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165512 chairs%2b140

I originally tried to use a regular staple gun for my project but quickly found that it didn't pack enough punch to get through the board so I had to switch to an electric staple gun.. Fold your fabric over your pad and staple it in place.

  7. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165626 chairs%2b195

I began by folding over each side and putting one staple in the center or each side and then I went back around and tightened it up.

  8. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165714 chairs%2b196

I stapled the corners last. Making sure I didn't cover the holes where the screws needed to go through.

  9. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165808 chairs%2b197

If my fabric did cover the holes I would mark it with a pen so I would know to go back later and cut the fabric. I also knew not to staple through that area.

  10. Small 111892 2f2015 11 08 165902 chairs%2b206

Remove any excess fabric when you are finished.
