This project was almost a craft gone bag. My machine needle snapped and I managed to slice my finger on a pair of scissors, getting blood all over my sewing machine :(. It was worth it though.

Use your record as a template and trace around it on the the leather.
Draw two.
Find a zip measuring about 7" long.
Cut two rectangles of fabric measuring just over 7" x 1.5" wide.
Pin these to either side of the zip.
Sew in place.
Check the zip works.
Now measure around the circumference of the record and draw a rectangle measuring the circumference minus the length of the zip by 3" wide.
Cut this out along with the two circular pieces leaving a seam allowance.
Take one circular piece and the rectangle.
Lay the rectangle down, right side facing up and pin the circle on top, right side facing down.
Pin around the entire circumference.
Now attach the rectangle with the zipper in the remaining space.
Sew around the circumference, stitching both rectangles in place.
Leave the area where the zip and second rectangle overlap unstitched.
Attach the second circle in a similar way.
Sew in to place.
Now make the strap from a rectangle of fabric measuring around 4" x 40".
Fold in half so that the wrong side of the fabric is facing out and pin along one edge.
Sew along this edge.
Turn the strap right side out.
Turn the bag right way out and fold the rectangle neatly under where it meets the zip.
Place the straps inside the openings at either side of the zip and pin.
Turn right side out and sew along the circumference.
Sew the strap in place.
Your bag should look like this.
Turn it right side out and pull the strap out.
Glue one side of a record with strong adhesive.
You'll need quite a lot so make one circle of glue around the label and one around the outside of the record.
Stick to one side of the bag and repeat with the second record on the other side.
Leave it to dry and you'r ready to rock!
