oh my god, I have to make some of these when I get the ingredients! So cute!!!!!!!!!!

These are so cute and creative! I didn't use thick buttercream icing, so the sour straps/fizzy belts/gay bacon slipped a bit, but overall they looked and tasted wonderful! thanks so much for the recipe!

It's gay bacon.

They are jelly sweets/candy strips covered in sugar. in the uk you get them as plain red too. they are like licorice but don't taste like it. i *think* they are like red vines but obviously flat rainbow coloured strips. you can get them online here is one example http://stores.homestead.com/TheJLGroup/-strse-6/Sour-Licorice-Belts-Rainbow/Detail.bok
