A friend and I actually got bored and did this version a few months back. We just food-colored icing in different bowls and smeared it on top of our cupcakes, as well as a batch of brownies! (brownies with cream cheese icing are DELICIOUS, by the way!) I'm gonna have to try it with the batter next time :)
