These cookies are great for a kids party.

They are easy to make & not too sweet.

You can eat them plain or drizzle with icing.

You Will Need (8 things)

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Icing Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Butter Room temp
  • 2 cup Plain Flour
  • Rainbow Food Colourings

Steps (15 steps, 90 minutes)

    Combine sugar, icing sugar & salt Ina bowl.

    Mix egg & vanilla together.

    Beat butter until pale.

  4. 4

    Add the sugar mixture to the butter.

    Mix until combined.

    Add the egg mixture.

    Stir to combine.

    Add the flour until just combined.

    Cut the dough in half.

    Cut one half into 6 pieces.

    Add the food colouring to them.

    Roll out the non colour dough.

    Set aside.

    Roll the colour dough into sausages & place next to each other.

    Roll out to roughly the same size as the other dough.

    Place both doughs together.

    Cut off the edge to make a straight edge.

    Tightly roll the both doughs together

    Place in freezer for 1 hr.

    Heat oven 325/160 degrees.

    Remove from freezer & cut into 1/4 inch pieces.

    Place on tray.

    Bake for 14 mins until golden around the edge.

    Leave to cool.

    Serve as is or drizzle with glaze icing.
