Description

If you’re finding the wrapped knot challenging, try this variation on a quilter’s knot. This is a heftier version than quilters tend to use.

Instructions

  1. Small 111669 2f2015 10 24 190945 screen%2bshot%2b2015 10 24%2bat%2b20.09.25

Thread your needle with a single strand of thread. Hold the needle in one hand, and hold the long end of the thread in your other hand. Point the tip of the needle and the end of the thread toward each other.

  2. Small 111669 2f2015 10 24 190949 screen%2bshot%2b2015 10 24%2bat%2b20.09.30

Keep this orientation while you wrap the end of the thread around the needle about five times. Shift the hand holding the needle so your thumb and index finger are also holding those wraps in place.

  3. Small 111669 2f2015 10 24 190954 screen%2bshot%2b2015 10 24%2bat%2b20.09.35

Use your other hand to pull the needle through the wrapped thread.

Once you pull the thread all the way through, it’ll form a nice, smooth knot at the end.
