If you’re finding the wrapped knot challenging, try this variation on a quilter’s knot. This is a heftier version than quilters tend to use.
Thread your needle with a single strand of thread. Hold the needle in one hand, and hold the long end of the thread in your other hand. Point the tip of the needle and the end of the thread toward each other.
Keep this orientation while you wrap the end of the thread around the needle about five times. Shift the hand holding the needle so your thumb and index finger are also holding those wraps in place.
Use your other hand to pull the needle through the wrapped thread.
Once you pull the thread all the way through, it’ll form a nice, smooth knot at the end.
