My stepdaughter told me late Saturday morning that she had no outfit for the halloween party she was going to that night, so I went through a few old patterns etc, all my material and hoped for the best. I used a very old pattern from "Make it Easy" collection packs. As my stepdaughter is a very large young girl I had to cut outside the size of the pattern. I decided to do a extra 2 strips for the bottom and cutting points randomly, same with neckline, but with just one strip.
Using the top pattern, and cutting extra for larger size. I zig-zaged round the neckline, armholes and bottom of top. With the pattern I have downloaded on here I hope it is fully there,at the bottom you can make it as long as you want. It a good top pattern can be made for everyday use. I am making one for my eldest daughter who is pregnant so Im sure she will find it comfy.
With right sides facing together, Then sew up sides, overlock edges. Then fold the neckline where you have sewn already, fold over and stitch down.
where you had sewn around sleeves neatly fold and stitch them.
with the extra strips I did zigzag around bottom making the points. Then carefully cut away the parts I didn't need there. I then did the same with the red strips, but lengthened the piece of material and sewed round as done with black piece of material. Pinned these to bottom of shirt and then sewed into place. sorry picture not real clear.
Now the neckline, using same method as bottom of shirt points, I then sewn it into place. Shirt finished.
Make-up using a dark eyeliner I put on her eyebrows and also round her eye and extended out to corners of the eye, then using red eyeshadow I applied to her eyelids. Added a little white shimmer to give a sparkle. Bright red lippy for the lips, and tiny amount of red eyeshadow to cheeks.
Next the hair and make-up, with front of her hair I took small amount and twisted and rolled up so I could put her little horn clips on. I was lucky to beable to buy these at a discount shop.
