This is a pumpkin pie with a difference.

It has a biscuit base & is made with fresh pumpkin.

It is very tasty & smells amazing.

You Will Need (10 things)

  • 8 oz Digestive Biscuits Crushed
  • 3 oz Butter
  • Filling

  • Large Pumpkin
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Mixed Spice
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tin Evaporated Milk

Steps (12 steps, 80 minutes)

    Remove the inside of the large pumpkin.

    Add water 3/4 up the pot.

    Boil for 20 mins until cooked.

    Remove from heat & strain of excess water.

    Allow to cool.

    Melt butter.

    Add crushed biscuit crumbs & butter together.

    Press into pie dish.

    Set aside until needed.

    Mix sugar & spices together.

    Add cooled pumpkin & eggs to sugar.

    Stir to combine.

    Add the evaporated milk & combine.

    Pour into the pie crust.

    Cook in a pre heated oven 220/450 degrees for 15 mins.

    Reduce temp to 180/350 degrees for 40-50mins.

    Cook until set.

    Once cool put in fridge to chill.

    Cut & serve.
