My prom isn't until next week, but, seeing as prom season in full bloom, I thought it would be a good idea to upload these how-tos now. :] I'm not going to lie, the dress and what not I'm wearing in these how-tos are not my prom dress, it's my homecoming dress. However, I might recon it into a prom dress if I feel like it. Or just wear it again and not give a crap. :]

First, choose your eyeshadow palette. I'm using a gold-ish palette because it makes my brown eyes pop.
Prim your lids, top and bottom, since we will be using eyeshadow on both. Priming preps your eyes or eyeshadow and also makes the color more vibrant and last longer.
Use the second lightest color in your palette and sweep it over your lid.
Then, using the darkest color, use that in your crease. Blend it out so it isn't so harsh.
Now,I'm going to use a color that isn't in my palette. I have this loose gold eyeshadow that I bought a few weeks ago but have never used. It works so well with the palette that I decided to use it. I swept it over my eyelid and then I wet my eyeliner brush and lined the bottom of my eyes, but not the waterline.
Mascara time! My favorite part of the process. I don't think it's necessary to take a picture of my adding mascara so I did not. But, you get the jist.
Now, eyeliner. I'm using pencil liner because I, personally, like the look better. You could use gel or liquid if you really want. I line the whole top, from one end to the other, then around both corners and then waterline on the bottom. I wouldn't do this normally because I prefer a wider eye look, but, this is prom and we're going for the dramatics.
This is my end result: gold and dramatic eyes for prom.
