This was my first attempt at making this type of felt flower! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Here's the tutorial I used - http://news.holidash.com//2010/04/23/mothers-day-corsage/

Materials! You can glue your finished product onto a barette or a pin so I included them in the materials. But you will definitely need Felt, Glue, and Scissor.
You want to start with a circle and three different sized petals cut from felt. The petals don't have to be different colors. I just did this to show the difference in size. You might have to open the picture to view everything.
So you start with the biggest petals. I cut out nine petals of the same size. I used 9 petals but you can use more or less depending on how much space you want between each petal
I used hot glue but you can probably used any kind. You put a dab on one side and then fold it over to the other side of the petal and pinch them together.
Start lining them around the circle.
The petals should be circling around like this. When you have all your petals lined up right, glue them down.
Repeat the same steps, but with the slightly smaller cut petals. I used 9 again.
Repeat the same steps... again! but with the smallest petals. I used 9 petals... again!
Now for the last step you want to cut a strip and a circle. You can add any little notches and cuts to make it more fancy.
Glue the circle to the middle of the flower and roll up the strip and glue it to the center. and Bam! There's a nice flower for yourself! http://news.holidash.com//2010/04/23/mothers-day-corsage/ ^That might be of better help (This is where I found the tutorial!)
