Pretty crafty storage for earrings!

Use an old frame and a few treasures from your sewing box to make pretty storage to display your earrings. It's a great way to stop your earrings getting tangled and can be used to display brooches too! Super quick and simple.
N.B: I realised as I was making this that it would be easier to attach the lace first so the photos may seem a bit back to front.

You Will Need (8 things)
- Wooden picture Frame
- Lace Fabric slightly larger than your frame
- Staple Gun
- Hot Glue Gun
- Ribbon
- Buckles
- Buttons
- Embroidery Thread
Steps (7 steps, 30 minutes)
-
1
Collect together your materials! I find this is a great project for using those odd bits and pieces, and extra special buttons.
-
2
Cut a piece of lace material (I have used an old net curtain) the same size as your frame.
-
3
Using a staple gun, fold over the edges of the fabric and attach to the back of the frame. Pull the fabric taught as you go round.
I found it easier to start with opposite sides and finish with the corners. -
4
Arrange your buttons, trims and buckles until you are happy with the layout. I have threaded ribbon through some vintage buckles which gives a nice effect.
-
5
For an extra touch of colour tie embroidery thread through the button holes of any larger buttons. Cut the threads short so the ends cannot be seen from the front.
-
6
Stick all the pieces down using a hot glue gun. Wrap the raw edges of the ribbon round the frame and secure at the back.

And you're done! Just find a perfect spot to display your creation.
