About
Rossetti's 'The Bower Meadow'
As part of my art project, I've been looking at the work of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. So, for a response, I took a figure from one of Rossetti's paintings and drew her with oil pastels because I find that they're better for blending and colour (plus, I find them easier to work with than paint!). I've always found it difficult to draw people, but after a bit of practise, I think something's finally clicked!
Hope you like :-)

The hair looks so realistic. I'm always having trouble when drawing hair, and it usually screws up the whole drawing. This is really as it should be, very nice done
