We all find ourselves buying more postcards than we can send, and why not? They’re great little souvenirs for keeping as well as for sending. This star is a great way to enjoy lots of memories in one place. Base it on a lot of trips, a single strip, a stop along the way, or even a theme. It only takes eight!! Create your own starry starry sky. Hint: you can do this with museum post cards for a work of art that features...art. Or, you can buy books of themed postcards that feature some of your favorite things: gardens, astronomy, animals—there’s almost no end to what’s available. The only requirement is eight sheets of postcard-shaped paper. The rest is up to you.

Turn your first postcard so that it’s wrong side up. The side you want to show should be face down.
Fold the top corners downward as shown.
Fold the bottom up.
Fold in half left to right. Your folded piece will look like this.
Make your second model through step 3 and turn your model 90 degrees as shown. Position your first model as shown, then complete step 4 on your second model. folding it over the connecting corner flap on your first model.
Slip a little double-sided tape onto the connecting flap on your first model to stick your pieces together.
Do it 6 more times, aligning each corner flap and being careful with your tape each time. This is what it would look like if you had x-ray vision.
This is what it’ll look like with plain old regular vision.
