Or at least have the lips of one :D This tutorial is a fun look for your next Halloween party or the next Comic Con! You can do the whole face in this style or just pair these lips with a simple winged liner and you're done ;) Hope you like it!
Or at least have the lips of one :D This tutorial is a fun look for your next Halloween party or the next Comic Con! You can do the whole face in this style or just pair these lips with a simple winged liner and you're done ;) Hope you like it!
1. Start off with naked lips or a little bit of foundation as a primer (to even out the color and have a blank canvas).
2. Apply a bright red lipstick and it doesn't matter if the lines aren't perfect, we will cover them anyway! I recommend a matte lipstick for this step to help create a 2D effect!
3. Now take your gel eye liner and a angled brush and outline the lips. You can do the lines as thick or thin as you like. I really like to make the corners of the mouth a bit pointy to make it look more comic like, but it's not necessary!
4. The next step is to paint on the wrinkles of the lips with black - just imagine you are drawing lips on a piece of paper and you wanna give them some dimension. (I tried using a liquid liner for this step, but I should have stuck to the gel liner, cause the lines didn't turn out as smooth as I wanted.)
5. Last step: take a white liquid liner and paint on some highlights! This way the lips look more plump and full. If you wanna correct the outlines of the lips because you did a little mistake, just take your foundation or some concealer and a flat brush and go over the contours. The fun thing about this look, is that you can overline your lips to make them look bigger or change the shape! (In the tutorial I stuck to my natural shape, but in the picture at the top of the page I changed the shape a bit - that way you can see the difference!)
