Roll two balls of clay, one small and one large.
Take the large ball and use the tip of your thumb to shape the clay into a mushroom cap using your fingers. Make it smooth by rollling a thin metal rod around the cap.
Depending on what style you're going for you can make tiny clay dots and place them on the cap.
Take the smaller clay ball and roll it into a cone shape. Carefully mush the point into the bottom of he cap. Take your eye pin and, also carefully, pierce the very top of the cap and push it through the mushroom.
Bake according to specific clay instructions.
When baking is finished, let cool. Sand using wetqdry sandpaper and polish using a rotary tool or a pair of denim jeans.
Paint on a couple thin layers of varnish made for polymer clay and let dry.
