I don't think they are supposed to explode. Mine haven't ever exploded. But maybe you are thinking of something else.

Sorry Until_the_Sun! I have no idea why it is doing that! I just use the regular polymer clay if that helps

@ Until_the_sun-Fimo brand is polymer clay and it shouldn't have done that. I have made some of these too last year, and they turned out great. Maybe the layers were too thin and pressed together too much?...I don't know.

i attempted this using fimo clay and the layers blurred into one....how do i stop this happening?
