Go pokeball charm!
Go pokeball charm!
Make a sphere with red clay as well as white clay. Both should be equal in size.
Using an exacto knife or a clay knife cut each sphere in half. Only keep one half of each color.
Put the flat ends together and press lightly, you can round the charm out again as long as you don't flatten it too badly. Just make sure both parts are firmly in place.
Round the sphere out again by gently rolling it around in your hands or on the table.
You may notice the colors bleed together just slightly. But this is where the band of black comes in. Using black clay make a small sphere. Then roll it out into a small "snake".
Measure the "snake" of clay around the center where the red and white clay meet. Slice with a clay knife just slightly short of meeting end to end.
Press the snake of clay into the clay or roll it back and forth on the table. There should be a small space left.
Using a very small amount of clay, make a small sphere.
Flatten this sphere just slightly then place firmly where the ends of that snake, or coil, do not meet. It will close the gap.
Make one more small sphere that is smaller than the last one with white clay.
Flatten the white sphere slightly then place it on top of the black circle on the pokeball.
In the top of the pokeball put a small hole for an eyelet screw.
Bake the clay according to the directions of your clay.
When it is cooled screw in the eyelet and you're done. :)
