This pocket card is fun to use any time of year for things such as birthdays, Valentine's Day and just every day!
Begin by cutting the pumpkin image and the phrase for the inside of the card out using the Silhouette Cameo and the Designer Software.
Open the pumpkin image a second time in the Designer Software and remove the sections to create a solid image by following these steps: Size it to the size you want. Then right click and select duplicate. This will allow you to keep the one image intact that you want to cut the entire design on. Then on the one that you want solid right click and select ungroup (you won't see anything happen other than the selection handle will disappear. Then right click it again and select release compound path. Now you will be able to move the pieces off the mat and delete them leaving you with a solid pumpkin. Cut the solid pumpkin out as you would any image.
Create a 5" x 7" card base from cardstock. Adhere the phrase to the inside of the card.
Cut a 4" x 6" piece of cardstock and punch 2 holes on top of each other in the top left corner and 2 more side by side of each other in the bottom right corner. Place the brads through the holes and close them. Layer the cardstock on top of the card base and adhere it with a tape runner.
NOTE: The next few steps are shown in the pictures using cardstock, but for this card use patterned paper to create the pocket.
Cut a piece of patterned paper that measures 4 1/2” x 9 “. Score it using a scoring board at ¾” and 4” on both sides to create the tabs.
Turn the paper the long way and score it at 5” to create the fold on the bottom of the pocket.
Trim the sides of the longest piece up to the score line as shown in the picture. This is the piece that measures 5” and will become the back of the pocket.
Round the corners on the back piece of the pocket and fold the tabs to the back and secure using a tape runner. Attach the pocket to the grey cardstock.
Using the Drippy Goo punch by Martha Stewart, line up a piece of card stock that has been trimmed to be 1” wide by 5” long and punch it out. Repeat this step to create a second piece. Attach it to a black strip of cardstock that measures 2 1/2" x 5". Attach the strip onto the middle of the card and attach the layered pumpkin for the focal piece.
