This is one of my favorite color combinations of all time. This look is a dramatic way to incorporate both into one look. It may look like a lot of steps, but it isn't very hard to create. Enjoy!
This is one of my favorite color combinations of all time. This look is a dramatic way to incorporate both into one look. It may look like a lot of steps, but it isn't very hard to create. Enjoy!
Start by first priming your eyelids. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion. Take a deep plum/wine colored pencil and draw a messy line in your crease. I used MAC lip pencil in Nightmoth.
Quickly blend out the pencil with a big, fluffy brush. You can repeat steps 1 & 2 if youd like the color to be more intense.
Apply a slightly darker plum colored eyeshadow more narrowly in your crease. To do this, I used MAC eyeshadow in Shadowy Lady.
Apply a gold base to your eyelid stopping at your crease. I used the gold shade from the Makeup Forever Flash Palette. Then pat a gold eyeshadow on top to set the gold base. I used Half Baked eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
Using an angled brush, apply a black shadow to your crease outlining the gold on your lid.
Apply a light shade to your inner corner. I used NARS highlighter in Albatross.
Apply a glitter liner to the middle of your lid. I used Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Midnight Cowboy.
Draw a winged out line on your bottom lid with a white kohl eyeliner. Fill in your waterline as well. To do this I used Makeup Forever Kohl Pencil in White.
Outline the white on your bottom lid with a black eyeshadow. I used MAC eyeshadow in Carbon to do this.
Apply a winged liner to your top lid. I used Makeup Artist Network Ultimate Creme Liner in Blackness. Need help with your winged liner? Check out my Cat eye tutorial!
Apply mascara and false lashes if desired! I used false lashes on the top and bottom.
