One minute I was enjoying an icey cold diet coke and the next thing you know, I'm carrying it on my shoulder as a fashionable tote. How neat is that ...just couldn't throw this cup into the recycle box. One of my resolutions was to raise the bar expanding awareness of keeping plastic out of the landfill beyond just plastic bags. My new motto this year is - 'recycle by recreating to reuse' So just how eco-friendly is this tote? You already know what the front and back panels are (see Coca Cola cup in pic), in addition to that it was crocheted with clear plastic yarn; it has a pop tab closure and to ensure a strong base, the bottom of the bag is supported by 3 floppy disks without the silver clasp and magnetic disk. I used bigger pop tabs as the anchor for each strap. This will give it the added support when you're it's being filled it up with anything possible - e.g. groceries, books, a picnic lunch or packing it for a trip to the beach.
