You Will Need (7 things)
- Mould
- Tin Foil
- Scissors
- String
- Clear Cellophane Wrap
- Plastic Bead(s) (Clear & Solid)
- Jewellery Wire
Steps (11 steps, 40 minutes)
-
1
Before you start, you will need to find something appropriate to melt your beads in. I recommend metal cupcake baking trays, but for this I used oven-safe, rubber mini muffin moulds.
-
2
Line your moulds with tinfoil so that you don't wreck them, this also gives the plastic a nice cracked-candy look.
-
3
Fill each mould with coloured beads, so that the bottom surface is completely covered. I used a mixture of clear beads and solid beads to make different kinds of 'candy'.
-
4
Melt down in the oven, set at it's highest heat. This should take about 30 minutes, but keep checking to make sure they don't burn.
-
5
When the plastic has completely cooled, remove the tinfoil. You should be left with little, round, plastic plates.
-
6
Cut a long rectangle of cellophane and two lengths of jewellery wire.
-
7
Place a plastic candy in the center of the cellophane and wrap up.
-
8
Twist either end of the cellophane, as you would do with real candy, and wrap the wire around to secure in place.
-
9
Repeat this with the other side and cut off any unwanted cellophane from either side.
-
10
Make a whole bunch of these.

11
Attach a length of string to your candy and hang on your Christmas tree.
