I have done plenty of plastic bag fusing making jewellery etc. With multiple layers you want a slightly lower heat so it doesnt burn the top layer but still fusing all together. If you leave it on too long you will get holes (which can be interesting)It often only take a few passes over the plastic. I put paper on top and underneath my plastic. Also let it cool a little before you remove the paper. You will hear crackling as it separates itself from the plastic. Hope this helps. Have fun
I have no clue what I'm doing wrong the iron either melts and shrinks it or the layers don't stick together. Can you turn up the heat higher if you have a sheet of paper between the iron and the layers of plastic

I love these! Sorry if I'm being dim (!?) but do you need to put paper underneath the plasic bags too, or won't it just stick to whatever surface you're ironing on? help!
I'm yet to try fusing plastic bags, but you've inspired me to give this a go. I like the idea that images on the paper can transfer onto the bags. When you say printer paper, do you mean just plain A4 paper?
What am I doing wrong?
