Remove pocket with seam ripper.
Cut off sides and sleeves to fit your body.
Cut new sleeve cap about 8 inches down from original shoulder seam.
Sew new side seams.
Switch sleeves (right becomes left and left becomes right). This will put the cuff buttons on the fronts of your arms for a decorative detail. Reattach sleeves to armholes.
Cut pocket slightly smaller.
Press edges of pocket inward.
Reattach to shirt a bit closer to the button band than its original location.
Remove extra cuff button with seam ripper.
Sew this button halfway up the cuff slit, through both layers, to keep it from gaping when you bend your elbow.
