These are easy to make.

You can cut them & fill them or use them With dips.

You Will Need (5 things)

  • 450 g Bread Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Yeast
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 250 ml Water Tepid

Steps (8 steps, 30 minutes)

    Add flour, salt & yeast to a bowl & mix together.

    Make a well in the centre.

    Mix in oil & water.

    Mix slowly for 1-2 mins.

    Increase speed for approximately 8-10 mins to form a dough.

    Place the dough in an oiled bowl & leave until doubled in size.

    Kneed for a few mins .

    Cut into 8 equal size balls.

    Flatten the balls a little & place onto a tray.

    Cover & let rise again for 10 mins.

    Heat oven 240 degrees.

    Heat a baking tray.

    Roll out the balls of dough to the shape of pittas approx 4-5 mm thick.

    Transfer the dough to the hot tray.

    Bake for 5 mins until puffed up.

    Remove from the oven & cool.

    Wrap in a clean tea towel until needed.

    Serve.
