Long ago and far away I bought a giant pink resin rose from Pat Catan's (an amazing craft store chain in the WV-PA-OH tri-state area) and wasn't quite sure what to do with it. So when I pledged SAI (symbol: rose ^_^) I decided to get it out and make a necklace with it for my Big. I already had the resin rose, so I went and got some gold craft wire, some gold metal beads, and some pink glass beads to complete the necklace. I decided to leave the wire exposed because it was cuter that way (I was going to use tiny gold glass beads, but decided against it--so glad I did!). Overall, I'm pleased with how this turned out, and it was relatively easy to make. Hardest part was trying to keep the beads symmetrical when attaching them--I'm awful at that! ^_^!
