If you've got a silhouette, you can make a string-art! It's quick, easy, and has a cool 70s feel.

  • A piece of Wood
  • Small Nail(s)
  • Scissors
  • Cotton String
  • A Scalpel
  • A Silhouette
  • A Hammer

Steps (7 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

Gather your materials. My piece of wood is a small chopping board from IKEA that is 15cm wide and 25cm long.

  2. 2

Place your silhouette over your piece of wood and hammer in the tacks around the edges of the pineapple shape.

  3. 3

Rip off the silhouette and use your scalpel to remove any pieces of paper caught under the nails.

  4. 4

Use an adjustable slip knot to attach your string to the first nail. Wrap your string around the nails that make the outside of the shape, and then criss-cross through the middle.

  5. 5

Use an adjustable slip knot to fasten off and trim the loose ends of your string.

  6. 6

Repeat for the top of the pineapple.

  7. 7

Pretend you've been transported back to the 1970s ... Groovy, baby!
