This headband is a wired head scarf that can be made from almost any fabric, depending on how firm or soft you would like it! The wire choice should be appropriate to your fabric, so a finer fabric would work well with beading wire, while a thicker fabric would work nicely with florist wire. The Phoebe Headband has a sew-along that can be followed to help your sewing journey. Watch the Pattern Union YouTube channel Phoebe Headband.

1. Right sides together, sew around the headband, leaving a gap big enough to put your hand in.
2. Trim the curves back to 0.5cm or 3/16”.
3. Use a narrow zig zag to sew the wire close to your seam, bending the wire to fit the shape of the scarf.
4. Turn through and press.
5. Sew the opening closed using a ladder stitch.
