Trace the outline of your passport on the a piece of paper, leaving a couple of millimetres space around the edges, and cut out for your template.
Use your template to cut out one felt piece for the front of the passport wallet and two 6cm wide edges.
Plan out your passport design on paper and then trace around the templates on to felt, cutting out the pieces in different colours. For this design, I cut out the shapes of the countries I want to travel between, a little plane and a ticket.
Use the sewing machines to embroider your name, or the passengers name on the ticket.
When you're happy with the design, stitch each of the felt pieces in place. You can then stitch freehand on top of each to add a little more design.
Embroider the country names on top of their felt outlines. It's a good idea to practise this on a piece of scrap fabric first to get the placement just right.
Now freehand the route of the plane between the two countries and feel free to do a couple of loop-de-loops along the way.
When you're happy with the design, pin the two side flaps on the back and stitch around the outline.
Cut off excess felt from the edges to give it a neat finish and slip your passport inside.
