Gather Materials
Cut out 2 circles like the yellow and patterned ones above. (I used an upside down glass to trace a perfect circle.)
Now you are going to take one of your circles and fold it. You will make 3 folds: 1. Fold the circle in half. 2. Fold the circle in half again so that it is in quarters. 3.Fold it in half one more time so that it is in eighths.
Open up your circle so that you can see 8 nice creases
You are going to make a cut on each of the 8 creases. Cut 3/4s of the way down the crease towards the center. Now you have 8 petals.
Take each petal and fold it vertically. Now you have a flower! :)
Now take your 2nd circle and repeat your folds in step 3.
While your circle is still folded up, mark off a portion of the top that you will trim off...and then trim it off. This is so that you have a slightly smaller flower than the first one.
Now repeat steps 4-6 so that your circle now looks like a flower. And you will have two flowers.
Take both of your flowers and glue the smaller one onto the bigger one. Just be sure to glue it so that they are positioned so you can see both sets of petals.
Now you need to make your center for the flower. Take a small strip of yellow (or any other color you choose...)paper that is about 18" wide and 1/8th" thick and roll it up tight.
Take your center and glue it on! (In this picture the stem is already attached bc i didnt take one before attaching it...sorry)
To make the stem you will need your floral wire. However long you want your stem to be, cut your wire twice as long. Fold your wire in half and twist it together so that it is a single strand (this is to make the stem sturdier) but dont twist it all the way up. Leave about an 1/8th of an inch at the top.
Take the 1/8th of an inch at the top of the stem and fold the two wires out horizontally. Now all thats left to do is glue it on.
Flip your flower over and glue the stem (I used super glue but craft glue or hot glue will work as well)on. Let the stem sit for a second and...YOU'RE DONE! Once you're stem is secure you can also add a small dab of glitter glue on the center to make it POP!
This is my finished product with a small arrangement of other flowers that i made.
