Pencils In A Monster

How do you make it? It looks so cool, I can think of a friend who would love one ^^

I love this, I'm thinking of making a similar one for my best friend for her birthday... any chance of instructions on the pencil case bit? I don't have any experience yet in making a pencil case with the lining and everything =)
