Very fast, easy recipe for a quick peanut butter&chocolate craving! Remember to always heat chocolate on LOW heat. If the chocolate begins to clump, do not add water/milk/cream. Add shortening or butter to smooth it out again. It won't take much so add by the tsp until the right consistency has been acquired.

Instructions

I had unsweetened baker's chocolate on hand, so it was what I had to use. Melt in a double boiler over low heat until uniformly smooth.

  2. Small peanutbuttercupssugar

Add powdered sugar if you are using unsweetened baker's chocolate as well.

  3. Small peanutbuttercupschilling2

Pre-chill the cupcake cups for 5 minutes. This helps the chocolate solidify faster.

Beginning halfway up the cups, drizzle chocolate down into the bottom. Be generous and the bottoms will be nice and sturdy.

  5. Small img 9173

    Chill 5 minutes.

Coat the sides again, turning so that the drips coat it evenly. You can repeat this process 3-4 times for thicker walls.

Place peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl and add 1 tbsp shortening. Microwave 30 seconds and stir to incorporate until smooth. You can also add some powdered sugar if you want the peanut butter to be sweeter. I used crunchy peanut butter and didn't add sugar.

Fill cups halfway up with peanut butter.

Cover the top with chocolate. Don't dump the hot chocolate into the middle like I did, this makes the cups look funny on the inside when they're done. Unless you don't care what they look like =) They taste wonderful either way!

Drizzle starting from the outer edges in toward the middle.

    Chill for 10 minutes.

Gently peel back the cup to see if the edges are clean.

And carefully begin taking off the lining.
