Place a ball of either pink or lilac clay into your cupcake base mold. Press it in so that all the details of the mold get picked up.
Flatten a ball of tan clay to create the top of the cupcake. Place on top of your cupcake base mold, and make sure it's centered on the base. Add your eyepin, and texture using your toothbrush.
Shade sides of the the cupcake top using the gold and brown chalk pastels and a paintbrush.
Mix your liquid clay and desired icing color. After it is smooth and free of clay lumps, spread on your cupcake.
Roll out a snake of clay in the color you want your roses to be. Cut into slices, and flatten so that you get round disks.
Using a needle and nail dotting tool, shape the disks to be rose petals. Curve one around the needle to create the center of the rose. Continue adding petals around, shaping and curling the petals with the dotting tool. Continue until you're satisfied with the size of your rose.
Place this on top of your cupcake. Bake according you your clay packaging directions, and glaze after it's cooled. The glaze will give the rose a delicate, ceramic-like appearance. And now you're done!
