About
Ok, this is my first tut so bare w me!
I had left over paper mache pulp from another project, mind you this is the first mache experience as an adult. So...the pulp was not as fine as it probaby should have been but I am very happy w the results!!
So I drew my design on a forgotten piece of cardboard, cut out & applied pulp to. I purposely made areas protrude more than others to give more depth. I left the piece to dry 24 hrs.
Next I coated with gesso & waited for it to dry.
Painted heart w red acrylic paint and used blue, black, white & a shimmering copper for details.
Painted wings white annd used black, gray and shimmery copper for details.
I made sure to paint sides also (which I did seal cardboard w pulp there also - talk about tedious!)
Again gave time to dry.
Coated w varnish.
More waiting...
Repeated last 2 steps
Made loop and wire wrapped wings.
Attached lobster claw w crimpbead & strung glass beads, pearl disks and coral and attached to wire hoop w crimp bead.
Repeated this step for other side.
Wahla ~ done!!!
