Well, It is the project I had always wanted to find. But there wasn't. So I decided to create it and post it. Uh, since I don't like project with STRANGE and RARE materials...the teacup is made of things YOU HAVE at home. Or, if not, you'll find in the nearest supermarket. Have fun!! :)
Well, It is the project I had always wanted to find. But there wasn't. So I decided to create it and post it. Uh, since I don't like project with STRANGE and RARE materials...the teacup is made of things YOU HAVE at home. Or, if not, you'll find in the nearest supermarket. Have fun!! :)
First: create a cilinder with a piece of carton (diameter about 8 cm) Close it with the hot glue.
Now make some cuts on ONE side.
Make triangular cuts on THAT side.
Close it (that will be the base of your teacup) You can close it with glue or scotch.
Turn your "cup" place a circular piece of carton to the bottom. Make litte (0,3 mm) cuts on the other side, that will give a better shape to the cup.
Now....cover the whole cup with paper and pva glue. (you know, you cut little pieces of paper, you cover them with glue and stick them to the carton.) Then cut another circular shape (diameter : about 15 cm). That will be the saucer. Cover it with pva glue and paper too. WHILE IT'S STILL WET, shape the borders of the saucer...it should look like the on in the photo.
Let them dry. (about 1 day and a half) now: it's the fun part :) :decoration!! decorate some paper to cover the inside of the cup and fix it with bi adhesive schotch.
Cover the inside bottom with a circular piece of paper with a design you like, the fix it.
The handle: see next step.
Make the handle: Cover a piece of carton (give it the shape you like) with gold ribbon.
Decorate the saucer...
Decorate the outside of the cup! :) New Victorian dames, have fun :)
