I made this for an art class. We had to choose an antique style and try to replicate it using papier mache! The chair is based off a early 1900s design from Maine, and the table and cabinet are just things I made to match the chair's design to form a complete set :) They're super easy to make, it's just cardboard attached together with wire (for the legs of the pieces to support the top) and masking tape. Then I papier mached it with newspaper and used some sticky cement-like substance (forget the actual name, sorry!) for the 3-D details. Then came the fun part - painting it! The painting took hours of mixing to match the colours of the real piece and then I had to do all the designs with a teeny brush the size of a pin >_< But it was worth it :)
