About
This is a really quick and simple craft but looks really effective. You can make your feathers into garlands, mobiles or decorations.
I've also made a video version of this tutorial which you can find here:

You Will Need (3 things)
- Coloured Paper
- Pencil
- Paper Scissors
Steps (6 steps, 5 minutes)
-
1
On the back of your paper draw the outline of a feather (you can use my templates if you like!)
-
2
Using the pencil or a knitting needle score along the lines of the feathers shaft (the middle bit.)
-
3
Cut out the feather and gently fold along the scored lines from step 2.
-
4
Work along the feather cutting from the edge to the line of the shaft to create the feathery bits! My cuts are 2-3 mm apart but you can play with the spacing.
-
5
Be careful to keep the central section intact!
-
6
The closer together your cuts, the more feathery it will be but also more fragile so if you want a stronger feather space the cuts a bit wider.
