To do this, I just bought some cheap clear glass ornament balls from a craft store and took the little metal tops off of them. I then took some acrylic paints (red & green... you can use whatever colors you like though!) and dripped some of each color into the ball. Letting gravity take hold, I just moved the ball around in my hand until the paint dripped and slid all around the inside of the ball- until it was completely covered. Let air dry overnight, replace the metal top thingies, and you're done!
