Instructions

  1. Gather your materials. You also need 3 sheets of black felt (the "You Will Need" isn't cooperating.) You can substitute black woven fabric for black felt. You only need small amounts of yellow, white, orange, and pink felt. I used a snap closure, but you can use buttons, Velcro, zippers, whatever.

  2. Small step1 1263436771

Cut 2 of your felt sheets into squares. If you prefer to leave them rectangles, feel free.

  3. Small step2small 1263437047

Make Pac-Man (or Ms Pac Man) and the ghosts. I only used two ghosts, but you can use as many as you want. I just cut an opening out of a yellow circle for Pac-Man and made simple ghost shapes.

  4. Using the blue fabric (or pink for Ms Pac Man), cut the dividers, borders, whatever you want to call them. This step is a little tricky. Look up a picture of the game if you want an accurate layout.

  5. Pin all your felt pieces down and sew. My purse is one sided, but you can make it double sided if you want. If you want your purse lined, put lining on both sheets of felt and sew.

  6. You can use store-bought straps or make ones that match your purse. For my straps, I cut thin strips of blue felt and sewed them to looooong strips of black. Make 2 and sew onto felt.

  7. Sew your felt wrong side to wrong side and turn inside out.

  8. Use yellow fabric paint to make the dots. Be careful with your spacing and go slowly. Let dry.

  9. Attach a closure, and you're done!
