This is a pretty simple project with lots of ooooh appeal! What new daddy, mommy, aunt or uncle or grandparent would not love to get a card like this??
This is a pretty simple project with lots of ooooh appeal! What new daddy, mommy, aunt or uncle or grandparent would not love to get a card like this??
Find an owl template...I used Google images and searched "owl template" to find this one!
Cut out the template and trace onto the scrapbook paper for the body of the owl.
Use more scrapbooking paper pieces to make the tummy and eyes of the owl. Arrange them until you are pleased with the design.
Using the glue stick attach them to a note card. I used a 5 x 7" card. (Template on the left, the owl for the card on the right)
Next, you are going to use those baby feet to make the wings of the owl. You can place the prints upside down or however you think they look the best. You can even make handprints for the wings too!
Restrain the child (legally of course) to control the application of the prints! We distracted B with puffs to eat in his high chair! Carefully ink the bottom of the feet and apply to the card. It helps to have two extra hands for this step. Use the diaper wipes or wet paper towels to wipe the ink off the footsies!
Now the outside is done!
Write "Owl always love you" and include a personal sentiment. This is from B to his daddy who was deployed, but is now home!
