I wonder how you would have to adjust it if you have a ghetto booty.... lol... I love how simple it is though. Makes me laugh when I think of how long a tshirt has been around and how many people actually thought "turn the sleeve area to the inside. viola PANTS!" can't wait to try it... and "adjust it" ;-)
this is awesome im fixing to cut up a bunch of shirts! @ Lynne Z i think i might be able to do this from scratch im going to try tomorrow if i get it right ill make a tut!
THERE!! I"M DONE! i had to put in a drawstring but that means they'll fit longer!!i got it done in like i dunno bout an hourish or so!!! YAY! im wearing them rite now and omg they r SO comfy!!!
imma gonna go make em right now! RIGHT NOW I SAY!!! i was watching threadbanger and saw it and then it said it was off of cut out and keep!!! thx great tut!!!
i just made myself a pair and realized how easy it was and how super close they are to making the wrap pants. What I love about this is I am not forced to just throw out a t-shirt anymore. Such a rad idea.
Your tutorial wasn't working out for me, the first attempt I used a large shirt and it came out too small. The second time I used a XL shirt but it still was too small after step 6, so I added sides and used different material for the top; I was making them for my boyfriend and there wasn't enough room for the boys so I had to add a significant amount of material for the waistband. I also didn't use the drawstring idea but used a corset style front. I'll post a version soon! Thanks for the template though
great great!! I love it!!! **************************************************************************************************************************** <<<<< THIS MUCH!!!
Thankyou everyone who faved my pants! I had no idea this many people would like it! Another cool idea for this is before you sew it all up, put one of the pieces on top of an old news paper page and trace it. You can use this as a pattern for cool fabric instead of a t-shirt.I like the knits at Crybaby boutique they have bargain boxes!
I don't know what else you could've put there. LOL. Yeah they are. Because of there being a seam there it makes it look like it's riding where it shouldn't but they are fine. LOL
Oh I probably should have put the size. The shirt I used was Large, but it seems more like an XL to me. So I would recomend using and XL. If you can't tell the one I made is a wee bit too tight. LOL
