My Dad is really into the Native American culture. Especially since he and I both have a good majority of it in our blood. You can see in the back ground pieces of other animals he has killed and put into good use; but this is something that I helped him do and I'm proud of.

Cut off long piece of thick fishing string and attach the needle to one end. *it's better to use a strong big needle rather than a little one.*
Pour out your dried corn so you can see the different colors and shapes. Pick out which ever pieces suit you best and put them in a separate pile. Use the needle to carefully stab and drive in the middle of the corn. Be careful not to hurt your self. *Helpful hint: the corn will not fall off and will last longer if you drive it in slowly directly in the middle.*
Repeat step #2 until the corn is strung on and is the length that you desire.
Lay your necklace down and pick up your skull. *You don't have to use an Otter skull, or let alone, any kind of skull. A bone or neat looking object (such as an arrow head) can be used to replace or substitute for this project.* Inspect the skull for any flaws or chips that could hurt you while wearing it.
Find an opening in the skull and stick the string with the corn on it thru. *make sure the the hole is big enough for the corn to go thru. Do not force it in if it does not fit; find another opening.* *if you are using another bone or object, be sure that you have made a big enough opening also for it to fit.*
Tie the ends together tightly. If you would like, you can burn the knot so it will melt together and stay firmly tied.
