Begin with the white side up. Fold the bottom corner to the top.
Fold the lower side corners to meet at the top.
Fold the bottom corner up, creasing at about one fifth the length of the slit. Rotate 180 degrees.
Fold each corner outward and upward to align with the right angle corner edges at the top.
Fold each corner down to the intersection of the head and ear, then unfold.
Inside-reverse-fold each ear corner. Fold in half and then unfold. Turn over.
Fold the bottom corner up to meet the hidden corner, behind.
Fold the nose corner downward, but not all the way to the folded lip line.
Fold the bottom flap up, slightly overlapping the nose, and crease to form a chin line.
Fold the corner down, creasing at the edge to form the lip.
* Mountain-fold the lower corners on each side to round the chin. Form the eyes by mountain- and valley-folding from the former landmark (the tip of the triangle behind the forehead). Each mountain fold will contact the base of its respective ear as the valley folds are placed.
