Once you have learnt how to make this flying bird, you can use it in so manny different ways. I made them in three different sizes and stuck them on the wall space I had above my desk, but there are endless possibilities of what you could do. Another idea might be to make about ten and attach them with string to make a garland or banner. If you like this project please favourite it :) Hope you enjoy :D

First start off with a rectangular piece of paper and fold the corner down to the oposing side. Then cut along where the dotted edge is marked. Now when you open it out you should have a sqaure, alternitavley you can just start with a sheet of square paper that has already been cut for you.
Now fold the paper in half diagonally both ways and horizontally both ways, and when you open it out you should have these creases.
Fold the paper diagonally in half and then in half again until your paper looks like this...
Open out the triangular flap and press down until you get a square shape on the side.
Then repeat step 4 on the other side until your paper looks like this....
Now fold the corners into the middle as shown in the picture. Make sure that the point of the triangle you make has all the edges of the paper not the folded end, which should be the other side of the triangle.
Repeat step 6 on the other side, your paper should now look like this...
Now fold the bottom of your shape into a triangle making sure the crease is fairly deep, this will make the next part a lot easier.
now open out all the flaps to this stage.
Start to bring the top layer of paper down to the bottom....
Then flatten out both of the sides into the middle, and repeat on other side, your paper should now resemble this shape...
Now open out the left side flap like you would turn a page of a book and flatten......
Repeat step 12 on the other side, it should look like a wolfs head...
Now open the boottom flap (the wolfs nose/mouth) up towards the top (its ears)
Turn over and repeat on that side, so it looks like a triangle....
now pull out the middle triangles to the side and flatten out the creases. Do this on both the right and left side as shown....
Fold over the top corner of the right one to form a beak to your bird, and your finished!!!!!
Now you can make more in different sizes and colours and decorate your room with them. I made smaller ones using the off cut of paper I had at the beginning. For more ideas of what to do check the description box :) Hope you enjoyed this project and if you liked it don't forgett to favourite :D
