oops! Blank step (See step #2)
First, Gather allll your Scrapbooking stuff (I had room enough to put my card making stuff in here also)
Get your accordion folder (or otherwise (you could use a secretary box, or file cabinet)
Decide on your 'themes' I have; *Seasonal (more specifically, it's for holidays; Halloween, Christmas, thanksgiving etc) *Paper (12x12 does NOT fit in my box [see dimensions] but random cardstock and 8.5x11 papers DO. *Labels ( Christmas labels, Tags, speech bubbles, etc) *Fonts/Alphabet *Borders (Includes Photo corners & Frames) *Stencils * Scraps (Newspaper clippings, Movie / Event tickets, etc) *sayings (Sentiments, Emotions, quotes) *Congrats (Baby, Grad, Bday,Wedding) *Summer (Camping, swimming, hunting, Sunshine, BBQ) *** YOU MAY DECIDE TO BREAK THESE THEMES UP FURTHER, DEPENDING HOW LARGE YOUR 'STASH' IS (ie; how I have seasonal and Summer separated)
I should also add to step #4 that I also have 2 'Misc' Folders ( I really should have made more, ... ) one has Misc. Embellishments (Stickers, etc) , On has Misc. Supplies (Unmounted stamps, ribbon, etc) Now make your labels, Either Printing them, hand writing them, or using a stencil.
Start Adhering your labels to the 'Tabs' on the Accordion folder (Mine was recycled and the tabs said stuff like 'Bills', 'Education' , 'Savings' etc. I simply covered these with my labels. ***Optional you can do it alphabetically for an even more OCD feel (I simply organized mine in order of what is used most (paper being first of course ;) )
NOW'S THE FUN PART!!! this may also (depending how much stuff you have) be the most time consuming part... just take it easy, tackle one box at a time, and eventually, VOILA! a compact (though heavy) scrapping box - Excellent also for taking to scrapping parties etc.
