I often wonder what to do with my lovely orange rinds after I've juiced them. Lucky I discovered how to make a cheery, fragrant tea light holder using those happy colored orange rinds. Candlelight breakfast anyone?

You Will Need (6 things)

  • Knife
  • 1 Small Cookie Or Clay Cutters optional
  • 7 A Small Clean Jar
  • Tea Lights
  • Spoon
  • Orange(s)

Steps (3 steps, 15 minutes)

  1. 1

With a sharp knife, slice an orange (or 2 or 3!) in half, across the middle, not from stem end to bottom end.

  2. 2

Using a knife or a spoon, scrape out any guts, like you would a pumpkin. You want the insides as smooth as possible. Then use a small cookie cutter or knife to cut a hole in one half of the orange, on the end portion. A little fire escape, so to speak.

  3. 3

Place the remaining half of the orange in a small bowl, ramekin, or jar and insert a tea light candle. Light the candle, place the cut-out orange half on top and set the mood!
