It's best to use real butter in this recipe to give it a rich buttery taste. You can eat it without the icing.
It's best to use real butter in this recipe to give it a rich buttery taste. You can eat it without the icing.
Heat oven 160 degrees. Cream the butter, zest & sugar together.
Add the eggs one at a time, Mix well.
Add the flour & baking powder. Lightly fold in.
Add the juice & mix to incorporate.
Pour into a tin. Bake for 1 hr. Allow to cool.
Mix the icing sugar & orange juice to make a runny icing. Pour over the loaf.
Cut & serve.
