Is the neck of your turtleneck too tight? For me, it's a common problem. A seam ripper, some piping, a few buttons, a needle and thread... A new look that doesn't cut off your breathing! (Cost me nothing- the piping was leftover from another project, a friend had given me the sweater, and the vintage buttons were from a stash I picked up when my aunt passed away)

This was the normal neckline of the sweater... and a bit too tight for me.
I unfolded the neckline and found that the seam was on the side (matched a shoulder seam).
I used a seam ripper to open the side seam of the neckline.
I then used the piping sewn to finish the raw edge.
I then took 3 buttons and added them to the front flap for a new look.
Here's the finished product!
