Instructions

  1. Small mj1005pfig1.lowres

Cut one 78cm length and three 12cm lengths of chain. Starting with the first link of the 12cm length weave an eyepin through each link until there is 1cm of eyepin remaining (trim any excess chain). Use the round nosed part of your multi pliers and bend the eyepin into a loop and close. Make two more. Trim 0.5cm off the top of two eyepins. Measure and cut two 11cm lengths, add the chain in the same way.

  2. Small mj1005pfig2.lowres

Open a 5mm jump ring, pick up one of the longer eyepins (set the other two aside for the earrings), attach the jump ring to one end of the 78cm length chain and close the loop. Repeat on the other side of the eyepin.

  3. Small mj1005pfig3.lowres

Thread a 16mm magenta pearl onto an eyepin, using the cutting part of the multi pliers trim the eyepin approximately 1cm above the bead, bend it into a loop and attach it to the jump ring that is attached to the 78cm length of chain. Repeat on the other side.

  4. Small mj1005pfig4.lowres

Pick up a shorter eyepin with the chain, open the loop of the eyepin and attach it to the bottom loop of the beaded eyepin. Repeat on the other side to create parallel eyepins.

  5. Small mj1005pfig5.lowres

Thread a 16mm magenta pearl onto an eyepin, using the cutting part of the multi pliers trim the eyepin approximately 1cm above the bead, bend it into a loop and attach it to the second chain eyepin. Repeat on the other side.

  6. Small mj1005pfig6.lowres

Take the final short chain eyepin, thread a 7mm jump ring onto the eyepin over the chain and attach in the same way onto the bottom of the beaded eyepins.

  7. Small mj1005pfig7.lowres

Thread a pearl onto an eyepin, using the cutting part of the multi pliers trim the eyepin approximately 1cm above the bead, bend it into a loop and attach it to the 7mm jump ring on the eyepin, close the loop. Make sure the jump ring is in the centre of the eyepin and squeeze the eyepin into a ā€˜vā€™ shape.

  8. Small mj1005pfig8.lowres

Measure and cut two 11cm lengths of chain, one 9cm and one 8cm. Open a 7mm jump ring loop through the end link of each of the lengths and loop through the bottom loop of the central beaded eyepin. Close the jump ring.

  9. Small mj1005pfig9.lowres

To make the earrings thread a 16mm magenta pearl onto a headpin, using the cutting part of the multi pliers trim the headpin approximately 1cm above the bead, bend it into a loop and attach it to the eyepin with the chain. Open the loop at the bottom of a long ballwire, attach to the top loop of the eyepin and close the eyepin. Repeat to make a pair.
