I love this old dress form my mother-in-law gave to me many yrs. ago. I had to revamp her timeless beauty, so what did I do? I attempted to make her a timeless dress to show how elegant her times were back in the day. This was my first attempt in making a dress, but for this -- she was worth the attempt.

Many parts of the wicker had aged and broken off here and there so I needed to smooth out these jagged areas. So I decided to wrapped the entire dress form with several layers of batting to smooth out and fill-out her curvy shape.
Here was the tricky part. I sewed each of the 3 parts by machine. I then finagled the 3 different parts onto her and then sewed by hand the 3 pieces together / onto her because she wouldn't budge.
I didn't like the batting that was showing along the neck so I sewed a long tube of the jersey fabric and walah. To me it was that extra 'little touch' that gave her that timeless look.
